Welcome to Clarity Health Intelligence, Inc. (“Clarity,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, platform, website and services, including the AI assistant known as “Clare” (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

We collect information to help us provide a personalized, effective caregiving and health management experience.
a. Information You Provide
All of the below is referred to as the “Information”. The Information includes both information that is or can be tied to you or someone about whom you share (“Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII”), and other information.
- Account information (e.g., name, email, login credentials)
- Profile information (e.g., preferences, caregiving role)
- Information about individuals whose care you support , which may include:
- Demographics (age range, gender)
- Health conditions and symptoms
- Medications and treatments
- Providers and care teams
- Notes, observations, and updates
- Communications with Clare (our AI assistant)
- Messages and other content shared among members you invite into care circles (b. Health and Care Information
You may choose to provide health-related Information. This may include sensitive PII. You represent that you have the authority to provide this Information for all individuals you manage or support, including yourself.
c. Automatically Collected Information
We collect the following types of Information:
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- App usage data and interactions
- Log data (IP address, timestamps, activity)
d. Data from Third Parties (Optional)
If you choose to connect external services (e.g., patient portals) to Clarity, to enable you to upload, import or transfer your health information into Clarity, we may collect data you authorize from those sources.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your Information to:
- Provide and improve the App (Services) and its features
- Create a centralized, organized view of information you provide/authorize to share with Clarity
- Enable communication and coordination among members you invite into care circles
- Generate insights and summaries using Clare (AI assistant)
- Identify trends, risks, and potential care needs
- Personalize your experience
- Provide reminders, alerts, and recommendations
- Conduct analytics and improve our services
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Use of AI (Clare)
Clare is our AI-powered assistant designed to help organize Information, answer questions, and support caregiving.
- Clare may process the Information you provide to generate responses and insights
- Responses are generated using a combination of your data and general knowledge sources
- Clare does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
Important: Information provided by Clare is for informational purposes only and should not replace professional medical judgment.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information in the following ways:
a. With Your Direction
- With members of your care circle, as established and managed by you
- With healthcare providers or care teams (if you choose to share)
b. Service Providers
We may disclose your Information to trusted third party service providers who we have engaged to help operate and maintain our services to you (e.g., hosting, analytics, security). We execute privacy agreements with our third-party service providers that restrict marketing, advertising to you and maintain confidentiality.
c. De-Identified and Aggregated Data
We may use and share de-identified data to:
- Improve healthcare insights
- Support research and analytics
- Inform partners (e.g., healthcare organizations, life sciences) for purposes of research and population level analytics.
This type of data will be modified so that it cannot reasonably identify you.
d. Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
5. Data Ownership and Control
You retain control over your data.
You may:
- Access and update your information
- Delete care profiles or your account
- Control who has access to shared Information
- Disconnect third-party integrations for your account
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your Information.
Please note: no system is completely secure. You use the App at your own risk.
7. Data Retention
When you close your account, we remove or transform identifying information so that the remaining data can no longer reasonably be linked to you or those for whom you care.
We commit to maintaining this data only in de-identified form, and we will not attempt to re-identify it except to verify that our de-identification methods remain effective. Any third party we share de-identified data with is contractually required to abide by these same restrictions.
We retain your Information as long as necessary to:
- Provide services
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
Clarity will retain de-identified data for analytics, product improvement, model training, security/fraud prevention and aggregate reporting.
8. HIPAA and Health Data
Clarity is designed to support caregiving and care coordination.
- We may not be a “covered entity” under HIPAA in all cases
- If we share Information with healthcare providers or healthcare plans, additional protections through contractual requirement to abide by all of our Privacy conditions are applied.
- You should not rely on the App as a substitute for official medical records or provider systems
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may include links to third-party websites or services.
We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies separately.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate authorization.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable laws (e.g., CCPA), including:
- Access to your data
- Request deletion
- Request correction
- Opt out of certain data uses
